Just when you think you’ve seen it all…

“This is #17 at Cypress Point in December 2021…wind was blowing near 70 mph and rain most of the day. Most insane day of golf any of us ever had and the caddies had never seen it before either. My tee shot drifted at least 150 yards left.” – Gavin Blair

  1. I played in a skin game, at Ram Rock Golf Course in Horseshoe Bay, Texas, a notoriously difficult course.
Dry, winds of 45 to 50 mph ,gusts higher , made it even more difficult than usual.
Out of 25 players, mostly golf professionals, I fininished
2nd with a score of 92. A player named β€œ Bear β€œ won with a score in the high eighties. I could hit the low ball very good that day. Driving it in the fairway was easy. Everything else, including else, including putting, was tough.
I remember a few of the greens had so much sand blown out of greenside bunkers that putting was seriously affected.
It was an interesting day out there.
