Of the 58 arrested on Saturday, upon first appearance in Scottsdale City Court, 41 claimed they came to disrupt the PGA Tour event after being given a $300 prepaid Mastercard through a newspaper ad for “limited employment opportunity”.
The FBI is investigating.
Yes, this is true.

This is what the PGA Tour wants to partner with?

The above is by a golf writer who has been around a very long time, and who speaks with wisdom on the topic.

Good Riddance! His legacy is sealed as the single most disruptive player in the history of the game. Actually, he is tied with his co-conspirator Greg Norman, but Greg was a former player when he helped launch LIV Golf. So, the title goes to Phil.

Right. The game is evolving…to a place I want to have nothing to do with. If authorities can apparently find any and all of the January 6th protestors, the Wasted Management Open authorities can find people like the above and place them on a banned list. They are NOT golfers.

Am I the only one who looks at that logo and says, “It looks like what a tiger would look like after it fell into a river full of piranhas.”
And what the hell does SUN DAY RED mean?? I could understand “Sunday Red”, but “SUN DAY RED”? Nah…makes no sense, especially along with a white tiger skeleton.
Here’s my two cents…
Make it an all-white silhouette on either a black or red background like this iconic logo, brand it “Tiger!”, and you’re good to go…
The world would line up to buy it just as they did and continue to do – Nike Jumpman. It is ubiquitous.
But what do I know, I’m just an old golf nut…

“This is a one-in-a-lifetime opportunity to shape how the PGA Tour operates,” he said. “They’ve been able to get by with manipulative, coercive, strong-arm tactics but we, the players, had no recourse. As nice a guy as (PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan) comes across as, unless you have leverage, he won’t do what’s right. And the Saudi money has finally given us that leverage. I’m not sure I even want (the new league) to succeed, but just the idea of it is allowing us to get things done with the (PGA) Tour.” — Phil Mickelson (Two years ago the week of the Genesis Invitational)
And the rest is history…the world of professional golf will never heal and will never be the same again, even if there is some form of unification. There is a great deal of bad blood between players on both sides, and deepening anger among the fans towards the profound selfishness of professional golfers across the board. They have a long way to go to regain our trust and support.

“Golf is losing all its class. It’s turned into a Jerry Springer episode.”
The Waste Management Open…a perfect name for that tournament.

P.S. Come to think of it, that stadium looks a lot like a toilet, doesn’t it?
