I am wondering how I’ll react when I witness opponents similarly cheating (or not cheating under the new Rules of NBA NFL MLB Golf) in amateur/club tournament this spring and summer?
Pathetic!
My career as a serious amateur golf competitor is over, but back when playing, if I saw someone break the rules, I called them on it. If they disagreed with me and I was keeping their scorecard, I wouldn’t sign it. When playing in weekly men’s league events, I simply ignore the Rules violations on the assumption that the violator doesn’t even know the rule. That, sadly, is the state of the game today. Most don’t know the rules, much less proper etiquette.
